Peugeot 206 TU5JP4 Turbo GT25R
This 206 started its life with a 1.4 16v ET3 engine but when Reino bought it he soon figured he needed a bit more then the stock 90 hp and 133 nm... After a brief consultation we came to the conclusion that to suite his wish of 200+ hp it would be best to swap the engine to a 1.6 16V TU5JP4 engine together with a forced induction upgrade. The beauty of the TU 16v engines is that, with the right modifications and tuning, they can easily take up to 300 hp with stock pistons and rods, making it a very cost efficient small displacement engine to modify.
As said, 200+ hp was the power goal together with pleasant characteristics for daily driving. The only internal modification made to the engine is one of our decompression packages to lower the compression ratio a bit to a more boost friendly 9.2 : 1. Our TU 16v turbo package with stainless exhaust manifold and Garrett GT25R turbocharger form the basis of the turbo conversion. The original plastic intake manifold has been upgraded by our TU 16v aluminum performance manifold with 68mm throttle body. Engine control is handled by a Vems v3.6 system and of course various other supporting modifications have been made to the fuel, cooling and exhaust system. Currently the maximum output of the engine can be varied by Reino between 175 and 230 hp. Maximum torque available is 280 nm.
