When customers, who are not used to driving high performance vehicles, drive a 300 hp Peugeot 206 for the first time, they usually think it is as fast a car as they will ever need... Sure it is very nice, but there are nicer things out there... for instance a 450+ hp Peugeot 206 :). After a year of driving Johannes got used to his 291 hp and decided he wanted a bigger adrenaline rush!

To support the extra power output the engine was given forged pistons and rods and further upgraded with better bearings. The head bolts were replaced by ARP head-studs. Since the engine previously had a GT28RS turbocharger we decided a GT3071R would be a nice upgrade turbocharger since it is a direct bolt-on upgrade (apart from the external wastegate connection on the manifold). Besides these and other hardware upgrades another significant change is that we calibrated the engine management system for both 98 octane and E85 fuel. E85 has substantial benefits compared to 'normal' fuel when used with power outputs like this. The dual maps function allows an easy switch to the 98 octane mapping when E85 is not available at the pump (though 98 now also starts to become scarce...)
